We'll Change how Nigerians are charged House Rent – Fashola
The minister of power, works and housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, has harped on the need to review and change the house rent collection system in the country.
He said: “The way we collect rent is something that must change. If we are collecting two years rent in advance from a salary that is going to be earned in arrears monthly, there’s an accounting mismatch.

Transgender woman sent to a male prison petitions to be sent to a female prison
Tara Hudson has been living as a woman for six years, but back in October she was sent to a men’s prison over an assault charge. The 26-year-old transgender woman was jailed for 12 weeks after she was convicted of headbutting a bar manager last year. During her first week in the prison Hudson was faced with endless abuse from other prisoners.

NFF pay $500,000 to victorious U-23 Nigeria players
The Nigerian Football Federation has paid $500,000 to the victorious Nigeria under 23 players that won the last African u-23 championship in Senegal. On Saturday, Nigeria defeated Algeria 2-1 to become the winners of the second edition of the U23 AFCON. Each player earned $12,000 while Head Coach Samson Siasia took about $24,000.

Fuel price to revert to N97 as FG plans gradual removal of fuel subsidy in 2016
The Federal government has indicated plans to gradually remove fuel subsidy by 2016. This was made known by the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu while appearing before the Joint National Assembly Committee on Finance, Appropriation and National Planning yesterday Dec. 14.
During his interaction with the senators, Kachukwu, stated that the subsidy regime which was at over N1 trillion in 2015 was no longer be sustainable.
He said the plan was to gradually remove the subsidy by first reverting to the old pump price of N97 per litre

Amos Olaniyan on October 6, 2015, the Senate has ordered the reinstatement, promotion and payment of all dues to Sgt Olaniyan who was verbally suspended from the Nigerian Police Force 21 years ago.
This follows the consideration and adoption of recommendations of the Report of the Senator Sam Anyanwu led Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition that investigated the suspension of Sgt. Olaniyan from the Force.

Peter Odili Opens Up On The N100million He Collected
The man who has a perpetual injunction against his arrest and prosecution, ex-governor Peter Odili has for the first time admitted that he indeed got N100million, but said the money was from the PDP for the contact and mobilization in the South-South for 2015 elections.
The ex-governor said he did not collect money from ex-Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda. He also said he has never had any dealing with a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
Odili said the N100m was given to him at the home of ex-PDP National Chairman, Adamu Muazu.
But who exactly gave Odili the money at the house of PDP chairman?
