We will evacuate our people if the Xenophobic attacks worsens - FG

The Federal government yesterday said it will consider the option of evacuating Nigerians who are willing to come back home if the xenophobic attacks in South Africa worsens. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali said this while speaking to newsmen in Abuja yesterday April 16th
"If it gets worse it is the duty of our country to make sure our people are brought back and we are taking that duty serious. We are not prepared to allow any of our nationals to be subjected to such inhuman treatment. We are monitoring the situation and will now take action according to the situation that develops,” he said.

Video: Maid in Nairobi caught on camera breastfeeding boss's baby

A newly employed maid in Kenya identified as Grace Mwikali Mwema has been arrested by the Kenyan police after she was caught on camera breastfeeding her boss's 9months old baby.

In the video which was aired on Kenya's Nairobi news, the nanny, who is a mother of a three month old child, is seen offering her breasts to the baby who sucked for a few seconds and then refused to continue. Seeing that the child was no longer cooperating, the house help dropped the child to play.

The child's mum had installed a nanny camera in her home to monitor the maid she'd employed just two days before the incident. She said when the nanny was confronted, she first claimed that the baby was the one playing with her breast but later admitted when she was told she'd been filmed doing the unnatural act. The woman called the police who arrested the maid and later posted the video to her Facebook page. See the video below......

Pres. Jonathan breaks silence, speaks on why he conceded defeat

President Jonathan has given his reason for conceding defeat to President elect, Gen Buhari during the March 28th Presidential election. The President said he decided to concede to avoid a collective tragedy. He said there has to be a nation before any personal ambition can be fulfilled and that for him, what comes first is the nation before ambition. Pres Jonathan said this when he received the new French Ambassador to Nigeria, Denis Guaer (pictured left) at the state house yesterday April 16

We Will Bring Back Chibok Girls Before May 29 – NSA Dasuki

The national security adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki, has declared that Nigerian troops prosecuting the Boko Haram war in the North-East will rescue the 219 Chibok schoolgirls and other Nigerians being held by the insurgents before the May 29 handover date.

Dasuki, who gave the assurance during a media chat to commemorate the first anniversary of the girls, also revealed that troops would invade the Sambisa Forest in Borno State before the swearing-in of the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.

The NSA noted that the federal government was 
making all the necessary efforts to ensure that the girls, along with other Nigerians abducted by the terrorists, were rescued, saying that every movement of the terrorists was being monitored.

“Right now, all Boko Haram camps, except Sambisa Forest, have been destroyed. Every movement of the terrorists is being monitored and every necessary detail is being taken care of to rid the country of the last bastion of terrorists’ infestation,” he said.

“Aside the Chibok girls, other Nigerian girls, boys, men and women were abducted by the terrorists and all efforts are being made to rescue them all.”

He claimed that Sambisa Forest would have since been liberated but for the unfavourable weather condition prevailing in the area, as reconnaissance activities and deployment of troops had been made.

Amaechi Reacts: I wont congratulate Wike, it’s daylight robbery

The governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that he wont accept the electoral victory of the PDP candidate in Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, stressing that the election was a daylight robbery.

Amaechi was reacting to the call by the Minister of State II for Foreign Affairs, Musiliu Obanikoro, that he and the APC in Rivers should concede defeat and congratulate the winner in the interest of the state.

In his reaction to Obanikoro's challenge, Amaechi said:
“Because of the larger interest of Rivers state, I and most Rivers people will not accept that daylight robbery they called elections. The election was a sham, a disgrace, an affront on democracy. Please read the reports of EU and other INEC accredited election observers before you open your mouth to spew rubbish. If your values are so debased and rotten that you saw nothing wrong with the elections in Rivers State, mine is not. Never will.”

APC Uncovers Plot To Burn INEC Office In Rivers State

*Says REC Khan, Wike and PDP should be held responsible 
The Rivers State Head Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) located at Aba Road in Port Harcourt is in danger of being burnt down for political reasons, the State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned. The party in a statement by its Chairman, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, said it was tipped off about the impending arson by a patriotic member of the political family of Chief Nyesome Wike, the State Leader and gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). 

Igbos Demand FCT Minister Position From Buhari

With the way some Igbo people are going, one day they will ask for the throne of Sultan of Sokoto. Lol!

Igbo investors in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have called on the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari to consider them when appointing a minister for the FCT, saying they control over 70 per cent of investment in the territory.

Speaking on behalf of the investors during a media briefing in Abuja, the chairman of Zaudan Pazeri Property Owners Association, Elder Friday Ugoala, said the interest of Igbos who have massive investments in the city should be considered when appointing a minister.

GEJ welcome home: Resolutions of an extraordinary All Ijaw Youths Congress on 2015 Presidential Polls and Way Forward

Thousands of Ijaw Youths under the auspices of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Worldwide met on Sunday, the 5th of April, 2015 at Tuomo Community, Delta State to review the outcome of the March 28, 2015 Presidential election and the way forward.

The meeting had in attendance founding fathers of the IYC, past and current leaders of the IYC, various Ijaw youth organizations and students from all the Ijaw Communities in Nigeria including representatives of the IYC chapters in Abuja, Lagos, Europe, America, South Africa and Ghana.

There's no big deal to the pic at first until you see what D'banj did this morning...lol. PDP's Nyesom Wike wins Rivers Governorship election

PDP governorship candidate in Rivers state, Nyesom Wike has been declared winner of the state governorship election. INEC's returning officer, Prof Faraday Oruwense announced the results this morning. He said Wike pulled a total of 1,029,102 votes to beat his main opponent, APC's Dakuku Peterside who had 124,896 votes.

Obanikoro congratulates Ambode

Senator Musiliu Obanikoro took to Facebook this morning to congratulate Lagos state Governor-elect Akinwunmi Ambode. He wrote;
