Kidnappers Release Monarch In Delta After Collecting Millions

The Olomoro community in the Isoko South Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State has expressed wild jubilation following the release of their kidnapped traditional ruler, HRM Josiah Umukoro Agbaza II.

The monarch was said to have regained his freedom following a ransom being paid to his abductors.

According to SR, the traditional ruler, Agbaze, who was kidnapped last week from his Olomoro office at about 8:00am, was later whisked away to an undisclosed destination. He was eventually released on Monday night after a ransom was paid.

It was gathered that the initial ransom demand was N50 million as a condition for the monarch’s release but the police have not reported the final amount paid.

Also, the relentless efforts of the Isoko South LGA Chairman, Itiako Constantine Ikpokpo, and other LGA council officials, was a significant force behind the monarch’s release, to avoid another sad story.
