Aaron Aranza |
A Houston, Texas man was arrested after allegedly whipping his daughter with a belt after he found out she was dancing with her African-American friend at the rehearsal for her quinceañera.
Aaron Aranza was livid when his 14-year-old daughter decided to choose the friend to practice her dance with. Aranza called off the celebration and dragged the teen into the house, where he attacked her with a belt. He then pushed her 15-year-old friend, called him a racial slur and said, “I don’t care that you are a kid.” He asked his daughter if she was really going to dance with the boy at her 15th birthday celebration. “Are you serious?” he asked. He also threw her down causing her to hit her arm on a coffee table.
He also reportedly threatened to take her to his house to live, even though her mother has custody.
Aranza was arrested a month later. He has been charged with injury to a child and is currently being held on $20,000 bail.
