Iranian woman hanged for killing 'man who tried to rape her'

27 year old Reyhaney Jabbari (pictured above), was executed on Saturday October 25th by hanging in Iran 7 years after she killed a man that she claimed had attempted to rape her. Reyhaney was sentenced to death in 2009 for the stabbing death of Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former intelligence officer.

"Here is the inside of Oba Adejuyigbe General Hospital, Ado Ekiti that was commissioned on October 6, 2014. Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar was brought to Ado-Ekiti by former Governor Kayode Fayemi to commission the uncompleted project. As at today, the building is still being painted while other structural works are still going on there. Only the outside was painted before it was commissioned. No single medical equipment is in the building!"

South Africa Football Captain Shot Dead

South Africa football captain Senzo Meyiwa has died. He was shot dead yesterday in Johannesburg few hours after playing a match, police have said in a statement.

The 27-year-old was pictured looking happy with on-off girlfriend Kelly Khumalo, a South African pop star, earlier before the incident.

Meyiwa, who played for Orlando Pirates, was shot when intruders entered his girlfriend's house in Vosloorus, a town 20 miles south of Johannesburg and died instantly.

She only learnt to walk five months ago, but beauty queen Bobbi Boyden is already strutting her stuff on stage at pageants, Dailymail reports. The 19-month-old from Essex has been described as a 'diva' by her mother, Stephanie.

Mrs Boyden said, 'Bobbi's like a little Beyonce, a little madam really. She loves the attention of being up on stage and she screams to get up there.' The family has spent £5,000 on elaborate dresses and entry fees in the past three months.

Bobbi who loves to dance to Beyonce’s single ladies on stage shakes her hips and blows kisses to the audience as she strolls on stage. 'She shakes her bum and she just thoroughly enjoys it, and that's the best part for me - just seeing her happy, her 32-year old mom says. But some have questioned whether the 19-month-old should be allowed to enter into a beauty pageant at all. More photos below…

Oscar Pistorius Cries Himself to Sleep at Night In Prison

After receiving his 5 year sentencing in the calmest way,it's been revealed that Oscar Pistorius has been crying himself to sleep at nights..The Citizen reports that Oscar was taken to the Kgosi Mampuru prison in Pretoria, wearing an orange jump-suit, where wept until he fell asleep.

Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) has released a report accusing the Nigerian soldiers of killing 34 defenceless peaceful members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria in Zaria between July 25 and 26, Premium Times informs.

According to the report, the members of the group, led by prominent Islamic cleric, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, were murdered while they were marching along the streets of Zaria in Kaduna State. Besides, more than 100 others were injured.

The report consists of the interviews with victims, their families and witnesses.

The IHRC fact-finding team states that report has unimpeachable evidence to prove that many of those arrested died in military custody, unable to withstand the brutality they were subjected to by the soldiers.

Court nullifies NFF election, sacks chairman and his executives

A Federal High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau state yesterday October 23rd nullified the September 30th general election of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, which saw Mr Amaju Pinnick elected as the President of the NFF.

Delivering his judgement in the case brought against the NFF leadership by some unhappy members of the association, Justice Ambrose Allagoa insisted that his court ruling must be obeyed by the affected parties. He stated that an order he gave earlier on September 19th where he restrained the members from holding the election congress was disobeyed, that this one must be respected

In a new interview with Vibe Magazine, rapper Tyga slammed his label Young Money and his other label mate, Drake. He doesn't like Drake and he made his feelings known. Tyga said;

"I’m tryna’ go independent. I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki. I don't like Drake as a person. He’s just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I’m saying? I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda like we were forcing relationships together. It is what it is."

Well, Drake obviously didn't find his comments funny and handled Tyga last night. Continue...

The stepmother whipped the young girl 87 times with a branch, kicked her 14 times and gave her eight slaps to the face. The more the young girl cried, the more the woman screamed and beat her. At one time, the woman kicked the toddler in the leg until she fell. Then grabbed her by the ear, threw her to the floor, slapped her again and used a branch to beat her.

Someone filmed the assault from a widow above the compound and posted it online. Hours after it was posted online, thousands called for the woman's arrest, but the police refused to arrest her, saying there was nothing they could do. Unbelievable. See the photos below......

Ever read a suicide note? Read War Machine's note, says blame the victim

US professional Mixed Martial artist and porn star War Machine, who is in jail awaiting trial for beating his ex-girlfriend, porn star Christy Mack almost to death (check here), wrote a suicide note before trying to hang himself in his Las Vegas cell last week.

Fortunately for him, his suicide was foiled by a corrections officer who was walking by his cell. According to TMZ, the officer saw him sitting on the ground with his feet up on the bunk bed, a piece of linen around his neck which was tied to the leg of the bed and his face was purple. The officer cut the linen, removed it and saved his life. War Machine is currently in a medical isolation cell on suicide watch.

Corrections officers saw a suicide note in War Machine's cell and for some reason, TMZ got a copy of it. In it, he talks about the night he attacked his girlfriend after finding out she'd been unfaithful, and a whole lot of creepy stuff. See the suicide note below....

Abeokuta-based hip-hop star, Feyisayo Mojisola Oyetade popularly known as Faycol died on Tuesday Oct. 14th in Sagamu while preparing for her 8-day old baby boy's naming ceremony. Feyi collapsed suddenly and died the same day her child's naming ceremony was to hold.

She was immediately rushed to the Sacred Heart Hospital in Lantoro, Abeokuta where she was pronounced "brought-in-dead". Feyi was then taken to a church for prayers and was reported to have opened her eyes but was in a coma for a while before she finally gave up the ghost. Feyi, who was the only child of her parents, has since been buried at the Sagamu Local government Cemetery. May her soul rest in peace. Amen.

Nigeria got into the Guinness Book of World Records for having the biggest football jersey in the world. It appeared at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere Lagos and the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt. This thing was to encourage millions of fans of the Super Eagles.

That jersey had amazing size: 241ft 3in (73.533m) in width and 294ft 2in in length (89.662m). It beat the previous records: 234ft 1in (71.349m) by 259ft 8in (79.146m) created in Turkey in 2009. Therefore, Nigerian jersey was recorded as the largest football jersey in history.

I found this so hilarious and wanted to share. So the guy in the pic is Sam Lake, wanted by the Christ Church police department. The police shared his mugshot on their Facebook page, asking people for any information about him. Ebola: Liberia's President writes moving letter to the world

Liberia's President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has written a heartfelt letter to the world over the Ebola crisis that hit her country. In the letter which was read over the radio and transmitted worldwide, she likened the Ebola epidermic to the civil war her country faced 11 years ago which killed a lot of Liberians, crumbled their economy and vital institutions.

The president called on the international community to stop all theoretical explanations on the Ebola crisis and act fast to stop the spread of the deadly virus. Find her letter below...

British nurse, Will Pooley who contracted Ebola while working in Sierra Leone, returned to the West African country yesterday October 19th after being treated and cured of the deadly disease in the UK.

Williams said he couldn't stand "idly by" and watch more people die of the disease when he could help and feels his decision to go back to Sierra Leone is the right one...

"I chose to go before and it was the right thing to do then and it’s still the right thing to do now.” he said

Williams was airlifted from Sierra Leone to England on August 25th after contracting the disease. He will be resuming work todayMonday October 20th at an Ebola Isolation Unit at the Connaught Hospital in Free Town, the Sierra Leone capital.

‘I am like a rape victim…’ - Meet The First Gay Nigerian To Come Out On TV (INTERVIEW)

We reproduce an interview granted by Bisi Alimi, the first Nigerian gay man to come out on national TV. In 2004, he appeared on the popular NTA talkshow hosted by veteran broadcaster, Funmi Ayanda, New Dawn. Alimi wanted to challenge the misconception that there were no gay people in Nigeria. Following his appearance on TV, he was violently attacked and fled the country to Britain where he sought asylum.

He is a gay rights activist and he granted this interview to prolific journalist, Mercy Abang in April 2013. He called for a revolution in Nigeria and insisted that more Nigerians will vote in favour of a law protecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people (LGBT).

Ariana Aitzhan was playing in the garden in the Kazakhstan capital Astana when her parents report suddenly hearing screaming.

They rushed outside to see the remains of the Samsung Galaxy S2 model on the floor with the girl’s friends saying it had exploded in her pocket.
