Lady Who Organised Anti-buhari Campaign At Chatham house London Exposed

This is such an embarrassing thing to watch. Nigerians who went to protest against Buhari at Chattam House today didn't even know why they were there. One was asked, "why are you here?" she said "I don't know" and later said "I'm not against anyone" but you see her carrying an anti-Buhari placard. Most of them didn't even know what they were protesting about. If they were paid to be there, then whoever paid them should demand their money back. Too shameful. Watch the video below........

South Korea Legalizes Adultery

South Korea's Constitutional Court on Thursday struck down a 60-year-old statute outlawing adultery under which violators faced up to two years in prison. The nine-member bench ruled by seven to two that the 1953 law was unconstitutional.

"Even if adultery should be condemned as immoral, state power should not intervene in individuals' private lives," said presiding justice Park Han-Chul.

It was the fifth time the apex court had considered the constitutional legality of the legislation which had made South Korea one of the few non-Muslim countries to regard marital infidelity as a criminal act. Good news!

I Betrayed Amaechi, Kwankwaso, Others – Lamido Confesses

In politics, there are no permanent friends or enemies, just permanent interest to serve. Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State has finally owned up to the accusation that he betrayed his fellow governors with whom he formed the group of seven governors (G7) under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Lamido stated this at the national headquarters of the PDP after he emerged from a meeting with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

When confronted with accusation of Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano, Lamido, said:
“I am a betrayer, confirmed. I betrayed them. I did, yes. I am aligning myself to what he said. I am aligning my answer to what he said. Go and find out from him.”

Governor Kwankwaso had accused Lamido of betraying five other governors who defected to the APC in 2013 following irreconcilable differences with President Goodluck Jonathan and the party leadership under former national chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

There would be no more collaborations for Davido and any other artiste be it an upcoming or an A list act. This is coming against the backdrop of request s by some artistes who are keen to have Davido on their songs. President Jonathan stated that Obasanjo remained his father, adding that disagreement should be expected between political children and their father.

Adesina also harped on the need to ignore unfounded and sensational reports intended to create unnecessary panic, as both Federal and State veterinary authorities were working hard to contain the current bird flu cases in the country.

National Co-ordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Gani Adams, has said that six million members of the group will vote for President Goodluck Jonathan at the March 28 presidential election.

OPC members took the decision at their National Co-ordinating Council meeting after taking time to assess the candidacies of President Jonathan of the PDP and Muhammadu Buhari of the APC.

PDP and Jonathan Wont Get Up To 10% of Votes in Kano

Alhaji Usman Alhaji is a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano State, who also contested the party’s gubernatorial primaries. In this interview with LEADERSHIP, he says the APC will still win the presidential election despite a shift in the date of t he election to March 28.

There are calls for the removal of INEC Chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega , what do you think? My reaction is that its the usual style of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), we have witnessed it for over the last 12 years! People like Edwin Clark who are elderstatesmen should be looking at the country’s unity as crucial and do whatever it takes to keep Nigeria one and united but unfortunately, he has zeroed himself as a tribal leader and it is not good for Nigeria. He should give direction passionately instead of turning himself into a war lord for the Federal Government. Such actions are doing more harm than good to the Federal govern and PDP. People see him as being biased, he is interested in ethnic gain. For me, the call for removal or resignation of the INEC chairman at this time is a treasonable statement.

Investigate Army explosives & violence events on Buhari Rally Day in Maiduguri

On the day of opposition candidate General Muhamadu Buhari’s rally in Maiduguri, Borno state, there were some unusual and ultimately deadly events that have caused anxiety and anguish among concerned Nigerians. We believe the events of Monday the 16th February, 2015 that led to the death of as many as ten civilians must be independently investigated.

According to the details provided to us from volunteer civilians; on the day of Buhari’s campaign, as a holiday had been announced in Borno state, the people around Umaru Shehu Hospital in Bullumkuttu apprehended a group of soldiers “attempting to smuggle arms under the cover of the Buhari rally,” and possibly to “create chaos.”

The soldiers did not disclose the true content of the two impounded vehicles that some civilian accounts say were maneuvering to join the General Buhari campaign train.

Upon inspection of the vehicles, the Civilian-JTF discovered that the vehicles were contained arms and explosives. According to video evidence obtained by ENDS.ng, it was at the point where the Civilian-JTF discovered it was “ammunition,” and made the pronouncement, the army began to fire directly on the civilians, killing them.

The army has denied significant aspect of these details and in some releases, denied it in entirety. Contrary to the military’s claims as contained in some media reports, the bonfire was set by a new larger wave of youth after the initial civilians inspected the vehicles and were killed as shown in the video evidence, and not before and ‘leading to the murders.’

I Underestimated Boko Haram – Jonathan Confesses

President Goodluck Jonathan has opened up that he underestimated Boko Haram Islamists who have overrun swathes of the country’s northeast states.

Jonathan, facing a tight re-election bid against Muhammadu Buhari and his party APC, has faced criticism over the vote delay, which critics argue was designed to give him time to shore up his campaign.

The Presidency pushed through the military for a six-week delay was granted by INEC to allow it secure the country for the election, though Boko Haram’s insurgency has raged for six years.

Jonathan commissions a plant Obasanjo commissioned in 2007

The Olorunsogo Power Plant commissioned in Ogun state on Thursday by President Goodluck Jonathan, as part of vote-winning gimmicks that his government has done something for the South West people, is said to have been commissioned by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007, eight years ago.

Obasanjo actually built many of the gas-powered plants across the country that the government of Jonathan is struggling to sustain.

The Olorunsogo plant, not far away from the industrial complex of Sango-Ota Farm, Ewekoro Cement and the Obasanjo Farms, was among the plants that were ready before Obasanjo left office in May 2007. And he cut the ceremonial tape to declare it open..

Wife Kills Her Husband Because Of Money In Lagos

What money is causing in many families these days, it's such a shame. Residents of Adefowope Street, off Beach Road, in Lagos are divided over the reasons that could have made a woman to push her husband from the balcony of their apartment in a one-storey building on Valentine’s Day.

The woman, identified as Onyinyechi, in anger pushed her husband, George, from the storey building, an act that led to the husband’s death.

While some residents claimed that Onyinyechi, who is a teacher in a private school in the area, was angry that her husband did not give her a Valentine’s treat on a day when most lovers made out time to celebrate each other, other residents said the couple was quarrelling over money...

Buhari Will Inherit Empty Treasury If He Defeats Jonathan

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari, has said that he would inherit a huge debt profile and empty treasury if elected president, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience would assist in turning the situation around.

He also stated that his party’s economic policies are conceived to be people-centred, adding that the country would for the first time in decades experience a truly pro-people Federal Government under him.
“It is crystal clear that our revenues are dwindling by the day and if we must survive, we cannot continue on this path of near absence of accountability, mismanagement, outright waste and jamboree that has characterised the management of public resources under the Jonathan-led PDP government.

Graphic photos: Election thugs leave huge knife inside man's chest

Do you see the huge knife sticking out from the man's chest area? That's the knife right after it was removed. This happened in Surulere, Lagos two weeks ago. The man was on his way to the airport to catch a flight. But because there was a lot of traffic that day, he decided to board a bike. While on his way, he encountered some election campaign hoodlums at Surulere who tried to snatch his bag. In the process, he was stabbed in the chest and the hoodlums left the knife in there and ran away.

He was rushed to the Eko hospital Surulere and from there moved to LUTH where the surgery was performed after two days to remove the knife. Thankfully he's alive and recovering very well. See photos of the knife still in his chest before the surgery below....

Video: How Nigerians Risk Their Lives Getting On Trains Every Day In Lagos

If you watch this video, then you will believe Nigerians are truly suffering. This video was recorded on 17th of February, 2015 in Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State. I live in Lagos too, but I have never seen such a situation in my life. They say it even happens every day, especially when people close from work. In the video, it showed how Nigerians risked their lives by jumping in front of a moving train trying to lobby to hang around the fully occupied train. It breaks my heart. Never knew this could ever happen in Nigeria, at least not Lagos. It looks like something CNN shows from world suffering countries. It’s really heart breaking. May God change the situation of Nigeria. Please continue..

Photos: Burundi Journalist Freed, As Thousands Hit The Streets In Jubilation

Thousands marched through Burundi's capital today in one of the largest demonstrations in recent years after the release of a popular journalist and government critic from jail, months ahead of key elections. Vast crowds singing and dancing filled the streets of Bujumbura a day after Bob Rugurika, director of the popular independent AfricanPublic Radio (RPA), was released from prison on bail.

There was no official figure for how many people who took to the streets, but residents said the mass rally of tens of thousands was the largest they could remember.
