Bowen University To Embark On Strategic Job Creation Policy
The management of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State is to develop a job creation strategy to curb menace of graduate unemployment in Nigeria.
This piece of welcomed development was made known by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Matthews Ojo, while signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AHEAD STRATEGIES, a job seekers training organisation based in the United Kingdom.
The MOU is part of the proposed job creation strategy that will enable the AHEAD STRATEGIES to start the training of students to have the skills for international job opportunities.
One of the coordinators of the organisation from the United Kingdom, Mr Benjamin Taiwo,said that the students would benefit greatly from the programme.
According to him, the programme was designed for Nigerian graduates to prepare them for labour market even at the global level and described it as a proactive programme that supports students to get employment.
