The students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, on Tuesday, protested the management’s increase in school fees for fresh students.
The students barricaded the streets of Ile-Ife very early in the morning carrying placards and chanting war songs.
The protest was led by the newly elected Student Union Government SUG president, Isaac Ibikunle, a five hundred level Law student who is yet to be sworn-in with his cabinet members.
Postgraduate students of the institution also participated in the demonstration as the increment in tuition affected them also.
