Presidency Freezes Governor Nyako's Government Accounts

I just hope this Goodluck Jonathan government can manage the monumental crises its agents are creating in most parts of the country. As you read this, the Presidency, through the EFCC, has frozen all bank accounts that are operated by the Adamawa State government amid impeachment moves in the troubled state.

The impeachment is said to be sponsored by the Presidency against the state governor, Murtala Nyako.

Speaking to DailyTrust on Thursday, the Director of Press and Public Affairs in Adamawa Government House, Ahmad Sajoh confirmed the unfortunate development:
He said the action has exposed desperate efforts by President Jonathan to witch hunt officials he perceived as enemies even if it means subjecting innocent Nigerians to hardship just to achieve his selfish agenda to rule Nigeria again in 2015.

He said the freezing of the state government's accounts would affect workers salaries and all social services in the state, especially during the Ramadan fasting.

Even if the governor is served impeachment notice, he has over 10 days to reply and the state Chief Judge is still going to set up a panel to investigation the so called allegations against him. So, what is the rush?
