The Presidency is denying the story that it has bribed the Chibok girls' parents in a bid to buy them over and in the process block them from relating with the leadership of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, rather than say if they give money at all or not, simply said they did not give N100million. So how much did they give?
Anyway, some parents of the kidnapped girls have exposed the deal. They say the Presidency indeed gave them money and accused their community leaders of shortchanging them.
Here's what one of the girls' parent told BBC about the money sharing:
According to Mr Halidu, “I got only N200,000 out of the said N100 million. Some of us got N300,000 and some less than that. Our leaders in Abuja are using the girls to enrich themselves and this is unacceptable.”
A source revealed on Tuesday that a male Senior Special Assistant to the President came to the hotel in the night and shared money to the Chibok community. Who is the man and who gave him them money?
