Update On The Teenage Girl Impregnated By EFCC Official

The Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has ordered investigation into the battery of a pregnant woman by one of its operatives in Lagos. The lady, Blessing Nwokpa, alleged last week that she had been abandoned after being impregnated by an EFCC officer, following her refusal to abort her seven-month pregnancy.

Authorities of the commission has now mandated the said official to pay N10,000 monthly to his pregnant girlfriend as part of her upkeep.

It will be recalled that the expectant mother became homeless after she was allegedly beaten and thrown out by her lover from his Fadeyi abode.

A media house, Vanguard, reliably gathered that EFCC officials would be meeting with the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria that is handling the matter, with a view of settling the issue between its operative and his estranged girlfriend.
