Contrary to many Nigerians' opinion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Aminu Wali, has said that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will definitely win the upcoming 2015 general elections.
Speaking at the Hotoron Kudu ward in Nassarawa local government area, Nassarawa State at the weekend, alongside former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, the minister stated that the so-called popularity of the All progressives Congress, APC, is nothing but ‘fake and artificial’.
According to Mr. Wali, the turn out of hundreds of people willing to register with the PDP had clearly cast doubts about the popularity of APC in Kano.
He also condemned the results of the local government elections held in Kano recently, which returned APC as the winner of the 44 local government areas of the state, saying: “Every sensible person knows that what happened was nothing but a sham and arranged election.”
The minister opined that the performances of the PDP in terms of job creation, execution of important projects and the concern of the government of its people, despite the security challenges, has maintained hopes in the minds of Nigerians that ‘ only PDP will rescue them’.

He projected that after the completion of the registration process currently going on, that many Nigerians would realise that APC's claim about their follower-ship is a blatant lie and shame.
Meanwhile, Mallam Shekarau also commented on the registration process in Kano after registering at his Giginyu ward. He alleged that APC has used thuggery and influence to snatch their victory in the last local government election.
Shekarau noted that the huge number of millions of Kano peoples who are trooping to register with the PDP in the state, has given them confidence that they will certainly win 2015 general elections.
The general elections in Nigeria is scheduled to start in February, 2015.
