Lagos big boy Prince Kazeem Eletu-Odibo weds his sweetheart Princess Kate

Saturday, 10th January 2015 is one day that will be remembered for a long time by many as Lagos big boy, Prince Kazeem Eletu-Odibo of the Etu Odibo royal family wedded his sweetheart, Princess Kate Orukpe of Ugboha Ishan Edo State. The KFA event center in Lekki wore a special look, with men and women dressed in their very best. You just must notice that something special was going on inside.

And the already frenzy atmosphere got to feverish pitch at exactly 13:05 as the Groom and members of the Eletu-Odibo royal family stormed the venue in a convoy of 12 exotic cars, made up of some of the very best automobiles available in our part of the world. It was a carnival-like scene with a complete police escort parade of 4 horse-riders.

The drummers where drumming just as the praise singers were chanting what they do best. In fact, royalty was on full display and the Etu Odibo Royal Family lived up to expectations as they appreciated and exchanged pleasantries with friends and well-wishers who had come to celebrate with them.

Prince Kazeem stepped out of his white colour Rolls Royce at few minutes to 2pm looking every inch like a true Yoruba Prince with the looks of a gentle man who is ready to seal the deal with his bride.
And we did not have to wait for too long to behold the Groom's gorgeous Bride, Princess Kate Orukpe. She stepped out of her state-of-the-art automobile, moments later, with a smile that indicates that she was fully prepared for the day and we didn't expect less; after all it was her Special Day.
It was worthy of note that Prince Kazeem was ushered to his seat with some very powerful Yoruba Oriki taken by the popular Ajobiewe, followed by a brief dance session.

Princess Kate was thereafter ushered in and immediately led to her husband's family where she received father's and mother's blessings. She was then led to meet her Groom in a romantic aura, with Onyeka Onwenu's classical song - You And I Will Live As One - playing on the background. She knelt and greeted her husband with all humility before taking her seat beside him and the traditional marriage ceremony kicked off fully.

Moments later, the letter of marriage agreement between the families was blessed, thus sealing the marriage deal between the Etu Odibo and the Orukpe family. That settled, the couple danced to the delight of their family members before exchanging the engagement and wedding rings. This was closely followed with the cutting of their lovely wedding cake.

The reception took off immediately with Actor Francis Duru as anchor. Mr Ibu, Sim Card and a few other notable comedians added colour to the reception. Respected Actor Ejike Asiegbu was also present with a group of other actors which included Chinedu Ikedieze (of the Aki and Paw Paw fame) to mesmerize the quests.
The Olori Ebi, Chief Waheeb Gbadamosi Eletu-Odibo took the opening prayer.

Respected personalities who graced the wedding ceremony of Prince Kazeem and Princess Kate included Chairman of the day, Hon Mumuni who is also the sponsor of the event as godfather of the Groom, the representatives of the Oba of Benin, Top Obas in Lagos, Assistant Inspector General of Police, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, APC vice chairman in Lagos, Chief Dele Momodu (Publisher of Ovation Int'l), Bisi Olatilo of BOS show, Taiwo Hasan "Ogogo" (a respected Yoruba actor), Marian Atiku who is the daughter of former VP Atiku Abubakar, and many more dignitaries.

Family members, associates, friends and all present had a lot to eat and drink to satisfaction. The hall of the KFA Event Center was filled to capacity, to the extent that may guest sat in the overflow canopy outside the hall. Security was well coordinated.

The event was handled by Planification Concept, owned by Mrs Stella Nwosu-Balogun and coordinated by Omobolanle Adebayoo of Fabulous Interior Ltd.

DJ Humility was on top of his game as he dished out songs that kept the hall bubbling. There were also live musical performances by the legendary Adewale Ayuba, 9ice and Sean Tizzle, Jawon, and a host of others. In all, it was a superb Royal Wedding and here are pictures to let you into the event:
