5 Biggest And Most Damaging Lies We Tell Ourselves

Your truth is at the heart of your experience of life. It drives every thought you have, every emotion you feel, every decision you make and every action you take. Becoming aware of these powerful thoughts can be extremely empowering, because it gives you a real opportunity to change them and replace them with the truths and beliefs that empower you to create what you imagine for yourself. This is what changes your experience!

Below are five of the most damaging, limiting and time-consuming I AM beliefs you can hold and five REPLACEMENT TRUTHS. I encourage you to challenge any negative beliefs that you hold to be true, and embrace new, more empowering ideas of who you are. An exciting reality is only a few changed personal truths away!
1.“I AM not fortunate enough.”
We can’t change the past or the conditions with which we entered this lifetime. We can, however work from the current circumstances to build the conditions that will lift us to a new experience of life. Resisting the truth of your situation or being jealous of others only adds time to what you truly want to create. The truth is that you’re fortunate in a million different ways and blessed with a million different creative opportunities.
Replacement: I AM fortunate in every way imaginable.
2.“I AM not attractive enough.”
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the most important beholder is always you. The way you look at who you are has an immeasurable positive or negative effect on all who look at you. Feel beautiful, loving and accepting of yourself and everyone around you will feel it and even comment on it! Feel unattractive, unloving, and down on yourself and others will feel that too. The truth is that you are beautiful and attractive as you feel and express. True beauty is an inside job!
Replacement: I AM a beautiful, attractive, and loving human being.
3. “I AM not capable enough.”
You never know what’s going to happen next. Just because something hasn’t happened for you doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future. This thought becomes really damaging when you say it about something you’ve never even tried doing before. How do you know until you try? You don’t know what you’re truly capable of until you give everything you have to the effort. There’s no such thing as failure; there’s only the opportunity to learn.
Replacement: I AM capable of anything I put my mind and heart towards.
4. “I AM not worthy enough.”
There is a statement in my book that says, “Your existence as matter is the self-evident truth that you matter.” It’s not your worthiness that’s in question — only your belief about your worthiness! The truth is that you’re worthy of anything you put your heart, mind and soul into, including love, a job, abundance, health, peace of mind and all the other fruits of the world. That fact that you are here, now, means you ARE worthy. Accept this truth and open the door to the experience of it!
Replacement: I AM worthy of all I imagine for myself.
5.“I AM not significant or lovable enough.”
There isn’t another human being in the world more or less significant or capable of love than you. Significance is defined in your mind first, then it flows into your feelings and actions. Feeling significant in your own mind translates into thoughts, words, and deeds that have significance in the world around you. You must start from the place of total self-acceptance and self-love in order to feel significant and loved. You always have been, and you always will be significant and loved. The question is how much you’ll allow that truth to shine!
Replacement: I AM significant enough and capable of love in every way shape and form.
Your I AM beliefs are the most powerful creative thoughts you can have and by far have the biggest impact on what you create and experience in life.
Make a daily practice of supporting yourself by focusing on and embracing the most empowering and limitless truths possible, and life may just amaze and astonish you with the results.
